Is there any option for mentors to upload an introduction video on their profiles?

Mentors can upload their introduction video on YouTube and add the link of the video in their profile. To add a video into their profile:

  • Sign in to the account. Go to "Settings" and click on the "General" tab.
  • Mentors can add their YouTube video link under the field name "Introduction Video Link".
  • Lastly, click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

Can a mentor send attachments in messages?

Yes, for enhanced communication a mentor can share documents with the mentee.

Can Mentors have sessions using mobile devices?

Yes, The platform is mobile responsive and can be used on a mobile device. However, there is no mobile app for it currently.

How can mentors improve their ranking in the mentor list?

The ranking of mentors depends upon the number of positive reviews and ratings given by the mentees who attended their session. It also depends upon the number of sessions delivered by the mentor. The mentors are advised to encourage their mentees to leave their feedback after the session to improve their ranking.

Is there any option to rate and review the mentors?

Yes, mentees can rate the mentors as soon as the session is over according to their experience with the mentors. These ratings are then reflected on mentors profiles according to which other mentees can select their mentors.

Is there any feature to record audio and video?

The audio/video recording feature depends on the third-party API integrated into the system. The API currently integrated is Zoom that does support the recording functionality. 

What if a mentee misses a booked session?

If a mentee misses a session, the mentee can send a request to the mentor to reschedule the session at a time suitable to both.

What if a mentor cannot attend an upcoming session booked by the mentee?

The Mentor can send a request to the mentee to reschedule the session if he/she will not be able to attend the session. To request for rescheduling:

  • Sign in to the account. Go to "Sessions" where the list of all the delivered/scheduled sessions will be available.
  • Click on the "Reschedule Session" icon of the session that needs to be rescheduled.
  • A pop-up box will open. Mention a comment for rescheduling the session for the mentee and click "Send".
  • A notification will be sent to the mentee for rescheduling the session.
  • The mentee can then select another time and date from mentor's availability to reschedule the session.

Can a mentor reschedule a session if he/she misses it?

Yes, a mentor can reschedule a session if it is missed. To reschedule a session:

  • Sign in to the account. Go to "Sessions".
  • The missed lesson will be listed under the "Sessions".
  • Click on the "Reschedule Session" icon of the missed session.
  • A pop-up box will open. Mention a comment for rescheduling the session for the mentee and click "Send".
  • A notification will be sent to the mentee for rescheduling the session.
  • The mentee can then select another time and date from mentor's availability to reschedule the session.

Can mentors edit their availability if they are not available for few days?

Yes, mentors can always edit their calendar if they are not available and cannot deliver sessions for a few days. To change the availability:

  • Sign in to the account. Go to "Settings" and click on the "Availability" tab.
  • Under the "Availability" tab, mentors can set their availability as per their schedule.
  • Click " Save" to save the changes.

How can mentors enhance their profiles and make them outstanding?

Mentors can include the YouTube link of their introduction video to make it more attractive. They can also include relevant information about themselves like biography, skills and expertise which also helps in making their profile outstanding.

Can Mentors set their availability for the complete week?

Yes, mentors can set their availability for the complete week instead of setting the daily schedule. To set weekly availability:

  • Sign in to the account. Go to "Settings" and click on the "Weekly Schedule" tab.
  • A calendar is displayed from where teachers can easily set their weekly availability.
  • Click "Save" to save your changes.

How can Mentors set their availability?

Mentors are required to set their availability so that mentees can schedule their sessions as per the available time set by the tmentors. Mentors can set their availability by:

  • Sign in to the account. Go to "Settings" and click on the "Availability" tab.
  • From there, mentors can set their available date and time which will be reflected in their profiles.
  • Click "Save" to save your changes.

What is the onboarding process for a mentor on the program?

Mentors onboarding is a quite simple and short process on this platform.

Mentors need to sign up with their email addresses.
Once the admin approves the application form, the tmentor can then create his/her profile and is ready to take sessions.
